Enjoy just the follow the link. SereN unregistered posted 05:36 AM Can anyone post this manual (1170) again plz? Thanks, - SereN stavpal unregistered posted 10:37 AM hey, i just bought the ATC-1000 watch (it was the cheapest - i didn't want to buy something too expensive) - the price was 92€. I like this watch, but i see that the barometer and thereby the altimeter is quite a bit temperature - dependent.
If i calibrate the temperature while i have it on my wrist, does it show 'extreme' temperatures right (below 20C and above 36C)? Stavpal unregistered posted 06:45 AM hey SereN, i can't host the manual, but i can email it to you if you want (i have scanned it and saved it as.pdf). The first Casio Protrek serie PRT-40 with compass, altimeter, barometer thermometer. Modeljr: 1998. Casio Protrek PRT-40 triple sensor MrCitzen. Unsubscribe from MrCitzen? Casio Watch Manual: Module 1170 Only the German language version of this manual is available. Previous Page Next Page >.
The links above either do not work or do not have this model(as you will no doubt already know) I would be very grateful if you could also forward the instructions to me. [email protected] stavpal unregistered posted 12:26 AM David.Turtle, i sent it. Beppe unregistered posted 02:03 PM I have a Casio PRG40 and I find the altitude readings very inaccurate. It is not a matter of air pressure because an old Casio BM 500 W used together is much closer to the real value. The PRG40 underestimates altitudes during rising and overestimates altitudes during descending. It seems always having a delay.
Did anybody experience the same behavior? Any suggestion? Thank You Beppe blue unregistered posted 08:29 PM quote: Originally posted by stavpal: David.Turtle, i sent it.
Stavpal, seems like you've got the magic missing manual. I hate to be a bother but would you please send it along to me also? Thank you kindly in advance. [email protected] stavpal unregistered posted 10:10 AM i have a PRG50 and it seems pretty accurate when ascending and descending. When i go mountain biking the readings are right.

Thanks, JAY writerdeman unregistered posted 12:36 PM Although I can't help you until I get back home to Michigan where the book is, I have a question for you: How or where do you replace the band on this watch? I bought one for my husband, who was taking his general aviation training at the time (also 90's), and the band broke apart. I've tried a lot of places with no success.

I thought some here might like to know. The link is: I hope this isn't seen as spam, I'm just selling my personal watch and thought there might be people in this group who might be interested. Best regards, John JP unregistered posted 08:09 PM quote: Originally posted by Chachad: I owned the PRG 40, 50 and 60 series in various bands, before settling on the PRG50 series. Frankly, the PRG40 is the top of line with the most functions, and features.
The PRG60 has the worst mapping screen, and compass, and although the most expensive, was unacceptable. PRG60 does have digital and analogue. I settled on the PRG50 series with the titanium band, primarily because of solar power. Changing batteries in the PRG40 is expensive, time consuming and can prove fatal to this watch if a properly trained technician does not replace them. Also, the resin band will break and so will the case as is so common with many Casio watches, rendering the watch useless. The PRG50 does not have the rotating functional directional bezel, does not have stop watch, and has only one alarm instead of 5.
It also lacks a very important countdown timer. If you want the best then go with PRG40, longevity then PRG50, and if analogue, then PRG60.
Regardless, make sure you get the titanium band though. Can You Tell Me The Pro's And Con's Of The PRG 40 Titanium model??? Blue, i will send it Hey What Would You Recommend. The PRG 40 Titanium or the PRG 50 Titanium. What has the best readings and functions. Cheers JP SomeDude unregistered posted 11:51 AM quote: Originally posted by stavpal: it doesn't work. Tell me your email and i'll send it I'll take a manual too, please [email protected] Glad I stumbled on this thread. I bought my 1170 ATC-1000 while in Germany in '98 or '99. I no longer have the manual, and have yet to find a repair shop locally that will do more than replace the band or the battery.
I'd like to get the thing taken apart and thoroughly cleaned, but noone will take on that job and they tell me to find an authorized dealer. According to Casio's site it looks like there is only one in the U.S. I also really wish there was a way to put a brighter light into the face of it, even with the green side-light it is hard to read the watch at night. [email protected] Stan unregistered posted 11:18 PM Hi all, Stumbled across this forum while looking for info on the Casio PRG70. Looks like this might be the right place to ask. 1) What's the main difference(s) btwn the PRG50, 60, 70, etc? 2) The one I'm looking at has a '3VDR' on the name as well, is 3V the voltage?
3) Any thoughts/comments on the watch, i.e. How well it holds up in rough outdoor use, etc. Thanks in advance. Doug unregistered posted 11:27 PM OK everyone, I put the manual up online, so you should be able to get it here: thanks a lot to norm for sending it to me!
